Dry Leaf: Spring green leaves
Aroma: Typical fragrant notes in the cup
Colour of Liquor: Bright Yellow
Flavour of the Tea: Its flavour is fresh, like candied fruit it has notes of orange towards the finish.
Compliments: A great accompaniment to your post lunch dessert.
Brewing Instructions: Always use fresh water. Bring water to near boiling point. Take one teaspoon of tea leaves in a cup. Pour the heated water and steep the tea for 4-5 mins. Adjust the time of brewing as per desired strength. Leaves can be steeped multiple times till it gives flavour.
Tea Master Recommendation: Best enjoyed without milk. Can add honey and lemon to taste. Always use fresh water. Do not use re-boiled water. The brewed leaves can be steeped multiple times with an increase in steeping time. Sip it when it cools down a little instead of boiling hot for enhanced flavour.
About the Garden: This Garden is one of the most scenic estates of Darjeeling. Legend has it that a Buddhist monk from neighbouring Sikkim was passing through the gardens, and stopped for a rest. He plucked a few leaves from a tea plant nearby and began chewing on it. Overwhelmed by its refreshing quality, he is said to have exclaimed "Runglee Rungliot", meaning "thus far and no further". His quest for fine tea had come to an end.
