The most beautiful women of the world compete for Miss World title in India.
71st Miss World pageant returns to India after a gap of 28 years. The last one was held in 1996 in Bengaluru, which was managed by none other than Mr. Amitabh Bachan and his company (ABCL). The event then was marked with controversy with protests across the state.
This year the 71st Miss World pageant will be held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai and the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, both are picturesque, architectural and engineering marvel. The event will be held at these venues from 18th February to March 9th.
This time around the India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) hosted 'The Opening Ceremony' and 'India Welcomes the World Gala' at Hotel Ashok in New Delhi on February 20, 2024.
The 71st Miss World Global Finale will be held on March 9th at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. A series of events will follow in Mumbai filled with the glamour of Bollywood and international guests.
Participants from over 120 nations around the world will be competing for the Crown of Miss World, this time Femina Miss India World winner 2022, Sini Shetty will represent India and will carry the Indian flag to this international stage.

What can one look forward to in the 71st Miss World edition in India
Miss World Beauty With a Purpose
The Beauty with a Purpose event was created in 1972. The event is held before the Miss World Contest and the award is given to the contestant who has the most significant and important charity project in their country. India has been a past winner Miss Manushi Chhillar was the first and only recipient of the Beauty With a Purpose Award to win the Miss World crown.
This year Miss World India went to “Than Singh ki Patshala” , Than Singh hails from Rajasthan and is posted as a head constable at the famous Red Fort in Delhi. Once he finishes his government duties he teaches underprivileged children free of cost.
Head-To-Head Challenge
One of the most exciting challenges in the pageant is the head to head challenge, where contestants showcase their speaking, presentation, thinking ability and intelligence. A group of judges will evaluate the contestants and this event was held on the 23rd of February at the Mandapam.
Miss World Sports Challenge
The Miss World Sports or Miss World Sports Woman title is given to the winner of the Sports event at the Miss World beauty pageant. This category was introduced in 2003 and allows the winner to enter the semifinals directly.
Miss World Talent
This module was introduced in 1978, the winner of the Miss World Talent goes straight into the semifinals and the event will take place on 3rd of March in Mumbai.
World Top Designer Award & Miss World Top Model
Aspiring models vie for the coveted title of Miss World Top Model, a fast-track competition within the Miss World pageant. Additionally, this same event honors the most exceptional designer showcasing their creations at Miss World through the prestigious World Top Designer Award. Both these exciting competitions will take place in Mumbai on March 2nd
Miss World Red Carpet Special and Grand Finale
Fashion and excitement will rule the Miss World Red Carpet! This event showcases contestants in stunning high-fashion designs from celebrated names. It's a dazzling prelude to the grand finale on March 9th at Mumbai's Jio World Convention Centre.
