Instructions on how to prepare Green Tea

Step 1: Measure 2 to 2.5 grams of green tea leaves

Step 2: Take 180 ml of fresh water

Step 3: Heat the water to near boiling point about 85°C (185 °F). Once you see small bubbles coming up, turn off the heat. If you want to be precise use a kitchen thermometer

Step 4: Rinse the teapot with hot water. This is done to ensure that the teapot is of the same temperature as the water. After rinsing pour the water out.

Step 5:  Put the tea leaves into the pot, either use a strainer or just put the leaves into the teapot

Step 6: Pour the heated water over the tea leaves and steep for 2-3 mins. Keep checking at regular intervals to ensure the tea tastes to your liking.

Step 7: Once it matches your liking and taste, strain out the tea else it will get over-brewed / steeped

Step 8: Use condiments, like honey and lemon, to flavour the tea and enjoy.
